This service attracts a price of £89 +VAT

  • We provide you with qualified Gas Safe registered engineers, who will carefully check your boiler together with all its parts, making sure everything is in perfect shape.
  • We go further to make sure there are no leaks or decompositions; if any, we fix them and, nevertheless, offer preventive measures.
  • We make sure your boiler seal is tightly fixed to avoid the sipping out of any smoke or waste gases produced by gas heaters.
  • We also take care of the most delicate parts of your boiler, including the ignition part and the heat exchange areas.
  • Your boiler will receive a standard duct test, making sure that its pressure is appropriate.

Premium service

This service package provides you with all the advantages mentioned in our standard package, plus extra perks like:

  • We will spend time with your boiler's radiator, checking for leaks or generally anything that might go wrong with it.
  • During the process, we evacuate the radiator, and if we find that the fluid needs replacement, we carry it out.

Yearly boiler preservation

Any boiler noticed to have started having issues should instantly get checked out. It is improper and risky to ignore boiler precautions. Faulty boilers can leak out carbon monoxide, and if left for a while, this colourless and odourless gas will spread, filling the air we breathe, become harmful to the body.

If you are the type who rarely ever checks the boiler for leaks or pending faults, the situation becomes unfortunate because such gases make it impossible for you to tell that anything is wrong, using intuition.

When issues arise with your boiler, they sometimes cause it to spend more energy while operating, directly increasing energy bills over time. If you ignore the energy bills piling up, consider how much damage and how much difficulty will arise on the day you finally pay attention to it, repair costs may go out the roof! You need yearly boiler maintenance to keep all these in check. Emergency Plumber London will deliver an effective and safe boiler-use, and we are ready to do this all year long!

We stress the fact that our engineers are all Gas Safe Registered because it helps to distinguish us from mediocre service providers who may finish their work with uncertainty. The Gas Safe Register is an organization in the United Kingdom, brought together for the sole purpose of protecting the public from under-qualified gas engineers.

What are some things you can do for yourself?

Conscious of the dangers of damaged boilers, we have put down several routine DIY hints to keep your boiler running effectively.

  • Set up a device for detecting carbon monoxide leak close to your boiler, and make sure it is tested frequently to see that it works fine.
  • Carefully read through the product's instruction manual; it always carries specific instructions for periodic manual checkups.
  • Keep your boiler's instruction manual safe and available because it will be a great aid to our engineers when examining your boiler. This manual has been written solely for your boiler product.
  • Regularly check the water levels of your boiler, to make sure it is at a recommended extent. Doing things (like adding more water) to make the water horizontally right will keep the boiler's efficiency high.
  • We recommend that you always pay attention to how hot or cold your boiler is getting, and how much pressure the boiler is presently operating at. If you notice anything out of range, please contact us as soon as possible on 020 34752302, and we guarantee that the challenge will be dealt with without delays.

Doing everything stated here, coupled with the services provided by the Gas Safe engineers at Emergency Plumber London, will ensure the continuous efficacy your boiler had at the time of purchase.

FAQs on boiler servicing

Are you thinking of contacting a gas engineer for some boiler problems and advice? Great, but before you do, just read this article, you might find what you are looking for here.

This is a list of questions we receive almost daily, and we have answered them here. If you’ve checked and your question is not here, then you can contact us through our line 02034752302. We will be pleased to answer you. We give our customers professional advice through the phone and help them make the right decisions and choices when it comes to boilers.

In our boiler service, a lot of things are carried out, and you will find this in one of the last pages in the manufacturer’s instruction book. In this book, you will find a step by step guide on what to expect.

Well, we will still give you a breakdown of what we do when we service boilers.

  • We check the appliance carefully for faults or pending faults
  • We carry out tightness check
  • We check the working pressure
  • We check the condition of the seals and parts to make sure they are in their best state
  • We strip the burner and clean it
  • We carry out combustion analysis
  • We clean the condensed trap
  • We check the conditions of the fan and flue
  • If your boiler has a magnaclean filter, we empty it

Our boiler service is designed to include everything possible to safeguard your appliance from breaking down in the future. It also increases its efficiency and reduces energy bills for you.

Contact us on 02034752302 if you want us to service your boiler.

A boiler service is carried out to prevent breakdowns which can cost a huge sum of money in repairs. It also extends the lifespan of your boiler. For instance, if your boiler is noisy, a boiler service will be carried out to fix this. A noisy boiler can be caused by an improper mixture of gas and air. You can call us for boiler service.

Then a boiler repair is carried out when your boiler stops working. This can be caused by a lot of factors, and some parts might need replacement.

For instance, when your boiler is full of gunk, and the heat exchanger has stopped working, a repair is needed, and you can contact us right away for an effective boiler repair in London.

No, we don’t, and the main reason is that it takes more time to find the problem than the repair itself. This is strange, but it’s the truth.

We take our time to search for the fault on your boiler so that we can be 100% sure when we start working on it. This helps us to reduce repair costs for our customers because boiler parts are expensive.

In a safety check, all the relevant appliances in your home would be checked for safety. However, note that this does not include repairs or an attempt to improve the appliances.

Meanwhile, in a boiler service, we polish things up for you to increase the efficiency of your appliance and to prevent future breakdowns.

It’s very easy. You ask for his ID card or his Gas Safe number and insert it into the gas safe website. Make sure you pick the right option, individual or business.

After that, the information of the engineer will come out. This includes the picture, full name, and accreditation.

Yes, this is highly important. Leave all your works to professionals because they know how to do it better. They were trained for this; they know the risks involved and how to prevent problems. For instance, unvented cylinders are risky because they are potentially dangerous if installed wrongly.

Hire a professional who has been thoroughly trained for this and has the expertise of fixing it without any problem.

All our engineers are professionals and have years of experience installing unvented hot water cylinder. Stay safe and contact us on 02034752302 to install this for you.

Yes, you need inspection hatches if a flue from your boiler is running in voids, walls, or ceiling. A new regulation states that a Gas Safe engineer must have a visual on every flue connection.

This is to ensure that the appliance is installed properly. This will also help prevent or eliminate the risks of a carbon monoxide leak.

There are few things you have to check when you want to replace your boiler from an open vent system boiler to a combination boiler. This should be done before you install the new boiler.

  1. Check the mains water pressure and make sure it is above one 1.0.
  2. Check the dynamic flow rate min; it should be 9 litres per minutes on the highest draw off point in the property
  3. The gas pipe must be 22mm or higher. It shouldn’t be lower than this. It was 15mm in the past but if the size of the pipe is not 22mm, it will affect the gas flow. In this case, we run a new line beginning from the gas meter down to the boiler to supply a sufficient amount of gas to your new appliance.
  4. Check the flue termination. You must establish all clearances and most of the time, it must be a minimum of 300mm from any openable door or window.

However, every manufacturer will specify according to their requirement. When you want to decide, these are some factors you should consider. But if your property does not have enough pressure and the flow rate is poor, you can use the main water boosting pump to overcome this challenge.

This is worth considering although it is not the cheapest way to increase the pressure.

  1. Check the termination of the condensed pipe. It is highly important for it to terminate inside the property to protect it from external conditions which can freeze the pipe.

In some cases, this might not be possible. The only option left is outside termination. This needs adequate insulation to reduce the chances of freezing. Before you change the gravity system to a fully pressurised one, you have to be fully educated on the potential leaks caused by this conversion.

The risk is higher if your system is old or the work done on it years back was not professional. Instead of using a 0.4 bar, you can increase to 2 bars or higher if circumstances demand.

This means it will be higher than what it was before. This will put more stress on the pip joint and connection. From our own experience, this is very rare, but from statistics, it happens twice in every hundred installations.

Note that these repairs are not included in the boiler replacement quote because they are unforeseeable circumstances.

We do it for our customers free of charge if it is a simple job and does not take more than 30 minutes of extra work.

This is a straight forward job in most cases, but you have to put some factors into consideration before replacing it.

  1. The size of the previous boiler: The best way to go about this is to use a new boiler of a similar size to the old one. However, this is not always true because the mains water pipers have been changed in many London areas.

This allows more water to go into your property. This means you can have a better experience in a shower. It is very rare to look at the heating side when choosing the size of a combination boiler. Instead, we focus on the demand on the boiler for hot water because most combination boilers are well equipped on the heating side.

For instance, a 2 bedroom flat having 6 radiators will need about 10.5kW, and the smallest combination boiler is 19Kw.

This is a different story on the hot water side because combination boilers deliver about 9.5L/min only with 300C temperature. This is not enough for a good shower experience.

In most cases, we advise our customers to get a bigger boiler which can produce more hot water.

We usually share some few trade secrets with our customers, and we are going to share that with you now.

  1. Increase the temperature on the boiler
  2. Make sure you set the pump to maximum speed and also make sure that it is not overflowing after the adjustment
  3. Balance the radiator; this is the most important part. If the radiators get super hot in a short time, and then you have to turn them right down, do it almost to a closed position.

This will allow a slither of water to pass through them. You can make this possible by removing the little plastic cap and turn the cob clockwise. That is, turn it to the opposite side of the thermostatic valve if you have one. In the case of the pump and boiler, it is always easier to turn the water to the radiator with minimum resistance on the way.

If you can’t go about this or you have, and still the problem persists, feel free to call us on 02034752302, and one of our professionals will be there.

There are lots of factors to consider if you want to repair your old boiler. If you did consider them and see that it is better to replace it, you could go ahead. We know that this is expensive and times are tough, but it will save you a lot of money in the long run. You won’t spend much on frequent repairs and breakdowns, and you would also save money on gas bills.

Your insurance cover or British Gas cover might even be cancelled because the chances of something going wrong will be very low. Then you would be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

A full conversion from gravity to combination (sealed) takes up to 2 days while conversion from combination boiler to combination replacement takes 1 day on average.

Any time you drain the water from a central heating system down the corrosion inhibitor, you have to add it on the next top-up. Corrosion happens when water, air, and metal combine. When you don’t do this, there would be room for corrosion in your heat exchanger. To prevent this from happening, you have to add an inhibitor such as Fernox F1 or Sentinel X100.

This would stop the whole process of corrosion in its track and creates an environment for a clean and safe central heating system.

About 70% of the work we do is related to boiler installation and repairs followed by heating and plumbing jobs. We are simply trying to tell you that we know the boiler market very well. It is easy for our engineers to tell the difference between good boilers and problematic ones. A dream come true for us as a company is choosing Vaillant or Worcester and being their accredited installer.

We have installed boilers for years, and these brands have never let us down. Their components are quality and user-friendly and they are readily available in the market. Unlike other brands, searching for replacement parts on these brands is much easier to find on the market. Vaillant and Worcester help us save time and money for our customers.

Contact us on 02034752302, and we will carry out any boiler service, repair, or installation you need.
